Update on Jim from Lyn

Jim is still in Liverpool Hospital. The tube into the lung was removed about 3pm this afternoon. An x-ray at 5pm showed that the lung had not fully re-inflated. They are giving it until 6am tomorrow, if not right the tube will have to go back in. They have put him to bed with the buzzer and the instructions buzz straight away if having difficulty breathing. So consequently he was a little down but doing lots of deep breathing. Jim really thought that he would be home by now, I am sure he is twitchy, bike withdrawals.

I thought the Worlds were great. The camaraderie is truly amazing. You all should be very proud!

Just watched Jim’s Points race, bikes everywhere, didn’t realise that 4 riders came down.

Jim and I have received wonderful support from so many people, both in Sydney and in Canberra. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone and ask that you pass on my thanks to those not on this mailing list. I certainly would not have been able to accompany Jim to hospital without you.

Thanks again

Lyn

Hi everyone,

Just got off the phone from Jim, he is feeling heaps better today and is hoping to be released tomorrow. He was wondering if there was training on at the Bundadome on Sunday
