Jim did it again and climbed on to the podium to claim third.. It was an amazing effort as he spent the last three laps out in the wind to take third. Depending on how Jim goes in his remaining two events over the next three days he has a good chance of becoming the champion of champions.
Today and tomorrow is the Sprint. Us endurance riders will be sitting this event out.
Michael is a good chance in this event. He was world champion last year. Quite a few of us think he may set a world record for the 200m.
The rest of us rode well in the scratch races. We all had very close and fast races. Typical average speeds were approx 50 km/h covering the 10km in a little over 12min. It was handlebar to handlebar racing with knees and shoulders touching. When you come into the final lap it takes a certain skill to win. I will try and get places for everyone later today.
